Natural ways to make your skin clear

Are you tired of trying different cleansers and creams that claim to work but don't? Why don't you give your skin a break and try natural remedies for a while? They don't have any side effects, and they will certainly not make your skin feel worse. Here are some tips for treating your acne naturally; give them a try.

1. Drink plenty of water. Water is one of those things that is good for a lot of ailments, and with good reason. Water makes up the most of your body, up to 70%, and it flushes out bacteria and toxins. When you drink water, it makes your entire body better, which gives you a great foundation to start with.

2. Use masks made of natural ingredients. You might want to use a honey mask, for example. Honey is an anti-bacterial and has been used many times to speed the healing process of various injuries. Use it on your face to make your skin softer and clearer. Many have used honey masks for years as their skin secret. If honey is too sticky, you can always try an oatmeal mask or a lemon sugar scrub.

3. Eat foods that contain chromium, zinc, and vitamin A. Your skin might be breaking out due to lack of these vitamins and minerals. In fact, zinc has been shown to be as effective as antibiotic acne medication. Chromium and vitamin A have similar benefits. If you cannot eat too many foods that contain those things, try supplements. Make sure you speak to your doctor before taking supplements; he may order blood tests to see if you are indeed suffering from deficiencies.

4. Pull your hair up. A lot of people with bangs and with long hair fight acne due to their hair. Think about what kind of shampoo you are using, and how often you are using it; is it possible that the oils in your hair are causing your skin to go crazy? Try taking your hair off your face for a while and see how that works. Sometimes, that is all you need to do to see an improvement in your face.

5. Wash pillowcases, sheets and laundry often. Leftover oils and bacterias can get trapped and rub all over your skin whenever you use unwashed ones. Make sure to wash these things at least once a week and note your progress.

6. Use tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is a natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal oil. Mix a few drops with your regular facial cleanser and you have an excellent chance of clearing up your face. After one wash you will notice that your skin seems brighter and calmer.

These natural remedies tend to cost much less than other remedies, and they do not have any side effects. It will not cause your skin any further harm to give them a try, so why not go through each tip in this article and see what works for you? You will have clear skin any day now.
