Here is the recommended treatment of gonorrhea in pregnancy. But it is strongly advised that you first consult with your doctor before taking any dose of gonorrhea in pregnancy before using any medicine in pregnancy. This dose schedule for Gonorrhea is for your reference only
Recommended treatment schedule of Gonorrhea during Pregnancy:
1. Ceftriaxone 125 mg intra-muscularly in one dosage.
In addition to
2. Treatment for Chlamydia through erythromycin 500 mg base orally 4 times a day. Complete the course of 7 days.
Reporting on rectal and cervical samples should be obtained 4 to 7 days after the initial treatment.
For pregnant women who are sensitive to spectinomycin and ceftriaxone, 2 g IM one time is suggested together with erythromycin for treatment of potential Chlamydia.
ofloxacin, Ciprofloxacin, and further fluoroquinolones, in addition to doxycycline and tetracycline are contraindicated in pregnancy.
